Mei Park
Software Engineer & Mom
Hi, I'm Mei.
I spent 12 years building software, then became a stay-at-home mom — and realized that even a two-year-old can practice algorithmic thinking with the right tools (like a pile of socks).
The Engineer
12 years of software engineering and a master's degree in Computer Science.
The Parent
Now a stay-at-home mom finding the fun in every complex concept — one activity at a time.
Why I Built This
When my kid was a toddler, I went looking for ways to share my world — the world of technology. All I found were glowing screens, mindless apps, and expensive plastic robots that were instantly broken or gathered dust.

"I realized that computer science isn't about screens or syntax. It's about a way of thinking — breaking big problems into small pieces, finding patterns, and creating a builder's mindset at any age."
— Mei Park
I started sketching out activities that my then two-year-old would love. We "programmed" our breakfast routine. We used "if-then" logic to decide which shoes to wear. We debugged our block towers.
Build With Your Kid is the result of those messy, fun, and screen-optional mornings. It's my way of helping parents feel confident leading their kids into the future — without needing a CS degree to do it.
